_Astronauta, una película no binaria_ completed the in-person stage of the third edition of Los Proyectos Cinematográficos de Atitlán, held in Panajachel, Guatemala.
During this process, the film still bore the working title _Arquitectura de un escape_. It later adopted its current title, _Astronauta, una película no binaria_. Writer and director Enma Martínez-Cornó and producer Sayuri Castro represented the project during the in-person week.
The team continued the work begun during the virtual stage with documentary tutors Marcos Pimentel and Martha Orozco. Their guidance allowed the team to deepen the treatment, strengthen the pitch, and advance narrative and production aspects of the film.
The week also included individual sessions, feedback exercises, and exchanges with filmmakers and producers from Cuba, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Uruguay, and Guatemala. These spaces broadened the team’s perspective and made it possible to build professional relationships with participants from different parts of Ibero-America.
The setting of Lake Atitlán provided especially favorable conditions for creative work, allowing the team to approach the project with greater focus, clarity, and openness.
The participation strengthened the development of _Astronauta, una película no binaria_ and expanded The Vision Framework’s experience in regional labs dedicated to supporting film projects.
More information about the third edition and its selected projects is available on the Los Proyectos de Atitlán website.
