I love making films.
Just as a river finds its course, the paths of the 40 emerging filmmakers from Colombia and Latin America selected for BAM Talents continue to take shape after participating in BAM, the Bogotá Audiovisual Market. Being part of this program was a privilege.
I finish the BAMMERs 2026 Strengthening Pathway with a broader understanding of the international landscape of Latin American cinema. I leave with the connections and partnerships that emerged throughout the process, but above all with the challenge of looking at creative production from new perspectives.
My experience at BAM invites me to imagine other ways of turning ideas into tangible projects and producing within an audiovisual industry that is constantly evolving.
It also confirms something I try to remember when making films. Where things flow naturally, that is where I want to be.
Thank you to Proimágenes Colombia, the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce, and Netflix Latin America for making this gathering possible and bringing together filmmakers from across the region.
