Astronauta, una película no binaria begins the virtual stage of the third edition of Los Proyectos Cinematográficos de Atitlán.
At this stage of its development, the film still bears the working title Arquitectura de un escape. It will later adopt its current title, Astronauta, una película no binaria. Writer and director Enma Martínez-Cornó and producer Sayuri Castro represent the project throughout the process.
During the first virtual week, the documentary teams will work with tutors Marcos Pimentel and Martha Orozco through group sessions and individual consultations focused on directing and production.
The next stage will include specialized masterclasses with Ernesto Maxwell, Lorenzo Mora, Denis Godoy, Felipon Díaz, Kim Picado, María Alejandra Rojas, and Paula Gastaud. The sessions will cover image and sound post-production, editing, sound design, visual narrative, casting, directing actors, and distribution.
This process will allow the team to continue defining the project’s creative and production direction before the in-person week in Panajachel, Guatemala. It will also contribute new tools to The Vision Framework’s work developing original projects.
